Enterprise Integration Platform
Mulesoft-based integration backbone connecting Salesforce, Business Central, a PHP webshop and a chemical management platform — sync APIs where they fit, event-driven messaging where they don't.
Centralised integration platform connecting Salesforce, Microsoft Business Central, a PHP webshop and a chemical management platform behind a single Mulesoft layer.
API-led connectivity with reusable assets — parent POMs, shared RAML fragments and system/process/experience API tiers — keeping each system's contract clean.
Both synchronous APIs and event-driven messaging via Anypoint MQ: real-time request/response where ordering and latency matter, asynchronous events where systems shouldn't block each other.
Result: a platform the internal team can extend safely, with honest naming, deliberate scope, and a runbook that still reads cleanly six months later.
Outcomes
What the platform unlocked once it landed in production. Each one is a measured behaviour change, not a feature promise.
- 01
Unify disparate systems
Salesforce, Business Central, the webshop and the chemical platform all sit behind a single Mulesoft layer — no point-to-point spaghetti underneath.
- 02
Choose sync or async on purpose
Real-time APIs where ordering and latency matter; event-driven messaging via Anypoint MQ where systems shouldn't block each other.
- 03
Reusable assets, not snowflakes
Parent POMs and shared RAML fragments mean every new API ships from the same proven base.
- 04
Extendable by the internal team
Honest naming, deliberate scope, and a runbook that still reads cleanly six months later — the team can keep building without me.
